7 ways historic houses ruined your expectation of property ownership
1) What? It doesn’t come with a moat?
2) Is not part of a World Heritage Site?
3) Only 2 bedrooms?
4) Why is there no turret/clock tower?
5) Romantic countryside is not the standard view?
6) There is no place for my decorative lions!
7) The rooms have no height, no space for a vaulted ceiling.
Looking at the positives, at least I don’t have to worry about ensuring low light levels to protect the fabric
